Highlights of the Week |
Hello Inman Square Families, We hope that you enjoyed this nice blast of winter that we have been having. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm. This week in Infants, our friends used their large muscle skills to play musical instruments and to dance to various rhythms and beats. Our older friends, have been attempting to match shapes on the sorters and will go to a teacher for help if they can’t figure it out. Our younger friends continue to thrive as they spend tummy time trying to reach out and grasp for toys and friends that are around them. They are also practicing how to sit up unsupported. In Toddler A, our friends enjoyed using their sense of touch to mold and squeeze dumplings. They also used their small muscle skills to paint “dolls”. The toddlers are learning how to share as they throw and catch balls with each other and explore the animals and water in the sensory table. In Toddler B, our friends are exploring shapes and learning how to make things out of them. The magnet tiles have been a popular work as friends work together to create houses and car garages. In music class, the children have been singing and dancing to many East Asian songs. In Preschool, our friends have been using their small muscle and sensory skills to create paper dolls and dragons. They have been enjoying listening to various East Asian story books such as, The Star Festival by Moni Ritchie Hadley. Toys From Home: Unless your child’s classroom is participating in show and share day, please refrain from bringing in toys from home. This minimizes any classroom interruptions and any items getting lost. Thank you for understanding.
